A Spanish environmentally conscious philanthropist
involved in numerous none profit making and humanitarian
type of activities in Spain but also in Eastern
Africa and the Balkans. Points of contact to the
author were through the SOS Children’s Village
in Zanzibar were she was responsible for fitting
out the residential buildings, selecting and thereafter
coordinating the mother training and settling in
the orphan children into their new environment.
Her passion for landscaping guaranteed a perfect
surrounding for the facility and assisted in raising
environmental consciousness in the children. She
is also the founding member of a women’s cooperative
ROOTS,
which became a main supplier of pottery and indigenous
tropical plants to the numerous tourist facilities
of Zanzibar island, the most prestigious having
been for the Zanzibar
Serena Inn. Valle Lopez-Tello is married to
Architect-Barnert since 1994 and together have 3
wonderful children.
